The Earth Sciences Division's main goal is to make basic scientific researches applied on the seismology, geology and applied geophysics areas, and to provide scientific advice to
the federal and productive sector outbuildings from the country and the outside. Another important part of it's goal is to prepare students at a master or doctoral degree in
the areas mentioned before.
Our commitment is to be a division which is formed by solid research lines, prestigious in the country and in the
outside, a postgrade program of excellence and a high level relationship with the productive sectors, official and private.
